Sands on Golden Lake Reservation & Rental Policies

Reservation Guarantee Policy
Sands on Golden Lake requires that all reservations be guaranteed by a valid credit card number and expiry date at the time of booking. Credit card numbers will not be charged prior to arrival. Cards will only be used to secure the reservation.
July & Aug – Weekend rooms require a 2 night minimum stay. Cottages & chalets require a 7 night minimum stay.
Off Season – Rooms can be reserved for 1 night & Cottage & chalets require a 2 night minimum stay on weekends.

Check In, Check Out Time
Check-in time is guaranteed for anytime after 3:00 PM, checkout time is 11:00 AM .

Reservation Cancellation
Should you need to cancel or change your reservation we require 48hrs notice for room rentals.  Summer Cottage and Chalet Rentals require 4 weeks notice during Peak Season (May – October), and 48hrs notice during Off Season.  We will consider weather and other uncontrollable circumstances should your plans be hindered.

Smoking Policy
Sands on Golden Lake is proud to offer a smoke free environment.

Occupancy Policy
For each person over the maximum occupancy of a room or cottage there will be an additional charge of $20.00 per person per night. Due to fire regulations a strict 8 person per cottage/chalet rule will be enforced.

Reservation "No Show" Charge
Sands on Golden Lake will charge one night's room and taxes to the credit card on file at the booked rate for any reservations that fail to check-in to the resort  on the scheduled arrival date. A full weeks rental charge + tax will be applied on any cottage or chalet rental (June thru Oct), to those failing to show for a reservation or adhere to the cancellation policy.

Minimum Age for Room Occupants
Guests must be 19 years of age or older to rent a room with Sands on Golden Lake. Sands on Golden Lake reserves the right to ask for photo I.D. to verify the room occupant's ages upon check-in.

Credit Card Payment
Sands on Golden Lake accepts Visa, MasterCard and American Express. Upon check-in at the hotel, a pre-authorization will be put on your credit card for the total room and taxes, plus a deposit amount (this is not a charge, only a pre-authorization). You will be required to stop at the front desk upon checkout to verify your room charges, and sign your final credit card receipt.

Personal/Company Cheque
Sands on Golden Lake does not accept personal cheques for payment of a guest room. Sands on Golden Lake will accept a company cheque for payment upon departure from the hotel. Sands on Golden Lake reserves the right to ask for a credit card number, and/or photo I.D. when accepting a cheque for payment. Any cheques returned as Non-Sufficient Funds are subject to a fee of $50.00.

Hotel Quiet-Time
Out of respect for our individual guests, Sands on Golden Lake enforces a "quiet-time" policy between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. This covers all property of Sands on Golden Lake and guest rooms (no loud activities, loud noise from TV or other appliances). Guests who do not observe our "quiet-time policy" may be asked to leave or denied guest room reservations. Should a guest room be asked to leave the hotel, the cost of the guest room and deposit will not be refunded to the evicted guests.
